Compliance research,
answered with evidence.
Korneva is a multi-tenant AI research copilot for accounting, legal, and regulated firms. Cited answers from authoritative sources and your firm's own documents — no hallucinations, no data leaving Canada.
— 01 / The problem
Generic AI was not built
for regulated work.
The GST/HST small supplier threshold is generally $30,000 in total taxable revenues. However, I couldn't find the specific source for this, and thresholds may have been updated. You may want to check the Canada Revenue Agency's website for the most current information.
A person is a small supplier if their total taxable revenues are $30,000 or less over four consecutive calendar quarters S1. Consulting services are taxable supplies S2.
— 02 / How it works
Three stages. No hallucinations.
Ingest your sources
Upload firm documents — memos, workpapers, internal guidance. We combine them with a curated corpus of authoritative Canadian sources: CRA, FINTRAC, OSC, PIPEDA, ASPE, CSAE. All stored in tenant-isolated Canadian infrastructure.
Retrieve with authority
Hybrid retrieval (BM25 + vector) surfaces the right passages. Authority-aware reranking ensures a CRA bulletin outranks a draft internal memo — automatically. 0.95 context precision on benchmark evaluations.
Answer with evidence
Every claim is cited back to a specific source and page. If no grounded answer exists, the system says so — instead of guessing. Every question, retrieval, and answer is logged for audit.
A vault, not a chatbot.
Your firm's documents are encrypted at rest, encrypted in transit, and never used to train shared models. Access is authenticated through AWS Cognito with multi-factor authentication. Every query touches only your tenant's data.
Your firm's data.
Your firm alone.
Tenant isolation is enforced at the database layer — not by instructions to a model. Your documents, queries, and answers are segregated at the row level. A mistake in prompt engineering cannot leak data across tenants. It is architecturally impossible.
Hosted in Canada.
Stays in Canada.
Deployed in AWS ca-central-1 (Montréal). Documents, queries, embeddings, and logs never leave Canadian infrastructure unless you explicitly enable an external model. Bilingual source coverage — English and French — built in from day one.
— 06 / Features
Six things that matter
in compliance.
Cited answers, every time
Every response links to the source document and the section it came from.
Authority-aware retrieval
Regulatory sources rank above internal memos automatically.
Tenant-isolated by design
Your documents are never pooled with another firm's. Enforced at the database layer.
Hybrid retrieval
BM25 + vector with reciprocal rank fusion and cross-encoder reranking.
Full audit trail
Every question, retrieval, and answer logged with source attribution.
Canadian-hosted
AWS ca-central-1. Data never leaves Canada unless you explicitly enable it.
— 07 / Benchmarked
Measured, not marketed.
RAGAS benchmark — how often retrieved passages actually contain the answer.
Claims in the answer that are supported by the cited passages.
Graded regulatory questions across tax, AML, privacy, and assurance.
AWS ca-central-1 by default. Bilingual source coverage.
